Patricia

The Wedding Academy is the brain child of Patricia Browne, who spent many years planning and organising weddings and parties with her mother Venetta in the North West of England. Sadly Patricia's mother passed away in 2006 and it was this sad event that spurred Patricia to review her ambitions within the wedding industry.

Having planned many weddings over the years, Patricia noticed that she was always being asked the same questions about the planning process by each new client. She also over the years heard many unfortunate but avoidable stories from brides about things that had gone wrong. This planted the seeds for the idea of The Wedding Academy.

Through her experiences, Patricia came to realise that not every bride was fortunate enough to have the resources to employ a wedding professional to help them plan their wedding day. Patricia considered that this however should not be an obstacle to getting hands on, independent, help and advice.

She also realised that most brides relished the challenge of planning their own wedding, but just needed some guidance and pointing in the right direction.

Having searched for a class, Patricia was amazed that she couldn't find anything suitable enough to recommend to her clients, for what must be one of the most important and probably the most expensive days of a persons life. Patricia felt it was time to redress this situation and so The Wedding Academy was born.
